What is the Via Aeterna festival?
This festival Via Aeterna (meaning the eternal path), on the initiative of Bayard Presse, has teamed up with René Martin, director CREA de Nantes, with the assistance of the Departmental Council of La Mancha, is an initiatory musical journey in the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel: adequacy of the music with the places.
Knowledgeable music lovers, visitors for a day, or just wanting to discover and live a spiritual experience, artistisque and human, you will be delighted by the richness of the program of this festival.
From Granville to Pontorson, passing by the villages of the bay: Saint-Pair-sur-Mer, Lucerne Outremer, Carolles, Genêts, Avranches, Mortain and Ardevon, 300 internationally renowned artists will be present to help you discover extraordinary music.
Concerts at Mont Saint-Michel
After criss-crossing the bay, the festival will end with concerts at Mont-Saint-Michel: the highlight of this course musical and spiritual. Sunday, September 24, concerts will take place all day in various places of the Abbey of Mont (closed to the visits on this occasion). The acoustics of the Abbey perfectly adapted to this kind of programming musical will enchant you.
This first festival should be repeated each year and become an in countable musical event in the Channel, federating the riches of the villages of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel.
Dates to remember
Saturday, September 23, it is also possible to cross the Bay, accompanied by a guide, in music
departing from Genêts (appointment at 1 pm at the church).
From September 21 to 24, do not miss this beautiful musical rendez-vous in this magnificent setting, natural and majestic bay of Mont-Saint-Michel.
