From aperitif to dessert, celebrate the summer with a fresh and sparkling bottle of cider: the most beautiful expression of the apple.

Millennia old, celebrated by Hippocrates, recommended by Charles IX or celebrated by Maupassant, this wine of apples "(...) yellow (which) gleamed, cheerful, clear and golden, in large glasses" .

It is particularly in the west of France that apple growing is developing. The Channel has nearly 70 producers.

To make good cider, the choice of apples is essential (different from apples). Three basic flavors
are used: sweet, bitter or tart. These apples bear the sweet name of Clozette, Bedan, Crollon, Mullet
Dol ... All the art of cider is to assemble harmoniously these flavors. It is this blend associated with the terroir that gives each cider his personality. Following several manufacturing steps, the juice is filtered and bottled at different stages of fermentation to determine its sugar content, one will obtain a soft cider, low alcohol, or a dry cider. Following the same method, perry is made from perry pears.

"When I see you, the heart laughs at me

Beautiful sildre, and my throat dried

Expect, as well as in the nest

The bird receiving its spade

O soulas of throats!

O very good apple juice!

Pray for the man

Who planted the apple trees! "

Poem by Olivier Basselin (XV century)

Who says Cider, says bubbles, fruity freshness and sweetness. Low alcoholic (from 3 to 5 °), you will consume it from the aperitif to dessert. For your summer meals, from a simple picnic to a more festive meal with family or friends, Normandy cider will sparkle all your happy moments of conviviality.

Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health, consume with moderation
