- The Abbey of Savigny-le-Vieux in St Hilaire Du Harcouet:

Founded in the early 12th century, the Abbey of Savigny is the source of a large congregation leaving many foundations in France and England and joining the Cisterian order. Sold as National at the Revolution and become quarry of stones, its destruction was massive. Only "the door of St Louis" was saved from the massacre. For some years the community and communes of St Hilaire du Harcouet undertook a development of the site. Access is free any the year with guided tours in July and August from Wednesday to Sunday.

- The Lucerne d'Outremer abbey:

It is thanks to the will of a passionate man, Father Lélegard, that this high place was saved from ruin. In 2009, the abbey celebrating 50 years of spiritual and architectural renaissance. Today, it houses interesting collections including a curious lectern with a pelican in gilded wood. Every summer, thanks to the association "The friends of the Abbey of Lucerne" a musical festival takes place in July and August.

- Abbey of Mont St Michel:

It is the abbey that has given the notoriety to Mont St Michel. Place of worship since antiquity, the Mont founded by Aubert, bishop of Avranches, in the seventh century became a Christian sanctuary. The Benedictine abbey will be founded in the 10th century to become a reputable manuscript copy center. Until the 1860s, the abbey served as a central prison. Today, with more than 20 rooms to discover, its breathtaking view of the bay, between sky, land and sea, the abbey opens its doors to the world.
You will find a complete panorama of the architecture of the Middle Ages. Visits for all tastes and ages are organized.
