From 7:30 PM, an intimate atmosphere settles over the abbey. Explore the most iconic areas of Mont Saint-Michel, completely reimagined through monumental projections, light displays, sound effects, and art installations.
Conceived by Spectaculaires – Allumeurs d'images, in collaboration with the Centre des monuments nationaux and the Établissement public du Mont-Saint-Michel, this scenography transforms the abbey's halls into veritable living tableaux.
Colorama, a brand-new show
This year, color lies at the heart of the experience. It guides visitors from room to room, reveals the details of the Gothic architecture, and showcases the abbey’s treasures within a poetic, immersive atmosphere.
Ancient stone becomes a canvas where light reshapes architectural forms, creating a dialogue between heritage and contemporary art. For one evening, the abbey seems to come alive, and its famous golden spire glows against the night sky.

A bit of history...
Long before becoming one of France's most visited tourist sites, Mont Saint-Michel was a major pilgrimage destination in the Middle Ages. Its abbey, perched atop the rocky islet, endured through the centuries before experiencing a darker chapter as a prison between 1793 and 1863.
Today, the *Nocturnes* events offer a chance to rediscover this extraordinary monument from a completely new perspective, blending history, heritage, and artistic creation.

Practical information
The *Nocturnes* (nighttime tours) take place every evening except Sundays, starting at 7:30 PM (last entry at 11:00 PM). However, we recommend arriving after dark to make the most of the experience! You are free to wander around the Mont until midnight, though the tour itself lasts about one hour.
We recommend booking your tickets online, although a ticket office is also available on-site. The price is €21 (reduced rate: €18; free for children under 7).
Paid parking is available near Mont-Saint-Michel at the "La Caserne" site. You can walk to Mont-Saint-Michel or take a free shuttle that drops you off at the foot of the Mont (departing from the parking lots every 15 minutes). You can book your parking space in advance via this link.
