You spend the night in Mont Saint-Michel Bay? Take the opportunity to make a night tour of the Mount.

You will appreciate the quiet streets lightened by the few street lights. In the evening, only the terraces of the restaurants are animated. After a few hundred meters in the main street, you will come across only a few walkers and the Mount will belong to you totally. You will then be able to perceive its exceptional environment while letting your eyes sail to the lights of Avranches and the Breton coast in the distance.

Walking through the alleys and stairs, you will only hear the sound of your footsteps resonating on the granite walls. It is an experience to live that to visit the mountain at night when the tourists abandoned it. The slight breeze that rustles trees, this place full of magic will stimulate your imagination before discovering the small architectural details, the nooks and crannies
and gargoyles that you would not have noticed in the day. The mountain is dark in the evening and it is easy to feel it as it could be in the Middle Ages. This preserved place of time holds many surprises to the visitor who is, often, more attentive when the sun has set. Small side roads in narrow streets so narrow that you cannot stick to two. Everything takes another dimension when night falls on the Bay and on the Mount. Climb the Mount becomes an unforgettable adventure.

You can climb to the Abbey and enjoy an almost personal visit. Depending on the affluence, you can
even find yourself alone in the immense halls of the Abbey. The silence and serenity of the place will fill you. In July and August 2015, the Abbey can also be visited in the opposite direction to dive into a poetic universe and a scenography dedicated to an imaginary animal that you will reconstitute during your visit.

In practice :

Mont Saint-Michel is accessible from shuttles that run until 1 am, they are free of charge
