The history and quality of your breakfast coffee.

After a good night's rest in the heart of the bay of Mont Saint Michel, savoring a delicious tea or coffee will allow you the start of your day of sightseeing or walks in a pleasant and positive way.

 

Legend has it that a shepherd named Kaldhi discovered the virtues of coffee when he realized that one of his Goats began to leap after eating the seeds. Then it was the monks who spread his use and his culture to stay awake during the long nocturnal services.

  

Ethiopia, cradle of coffee, cultivates the botanical species "Arabica" at altitudes between 1500 and 2300m. Coffees
Ethiopians are called "Moka" because exported formerly from the port of Mocha in Yemen. The coffee tree of Arabia is cultivated also in Central America and South America. Brazil and Colombia are the two major producers, Arabica recognized as the best on the planet. It is a coffee grown without chemical inputs (could be recognized organic but certification too expensive).

My roaster "Couleur Café", located in Coutances offers me a wide selection of coffees for you to discover new flavors, always freshly torpedo and carefully chosen, that he sends me very regularly according to my request.

 

A rigorous selection of quality coffees

According to the advice of my roaster, my choice is for different varieties of Arabica:

     - MOKA coffee (from Yemen): noble coffee with wild taste

     - KENYA AA: renowned for its tangy taste

     - MARAGOGYPE (Mexico) with a fine and fragrant taste.

I keep the coffee beans away from heat and light. It is ground at the last moment to avoid the
degradation of aromas.

 

For the making of your coffee, I use a stainless steel coffee maker that gives a tasty coffee, fragrant developing good aromas of coffee, perfect for breakfast and accompanied by a little hot milk.

At your request, I can serve you at the end of your breakfast a coffee a little more full-bodied to enjoy in a cup,
I use an Italian coffee maker.
